& Purchase Verification

Official App Store listingDownload on the App Store

A paid app with a one-time purchase, available only on the App Store. Check the storefront region and app details before purchasing or restoring on your device.

  • Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID: 932747118
  • US storefront: $2.99, one-time purchase
  • For iPhone and iPad

The US price is for reference. Other storefronts show local currency; the final charge is shown on the purchase confirmation screen.

Your purchase account determines the storefront

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. If you can’t find it, first check the country or region for the Apple ID used for App Store purchases instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. Your device location, system language, and App Store account region are separate settings; changing your device language to English does not switch storefronts. The button on this page opens the US product listing, but opening it won’t change your account region.

On iPhone or iPad, go to “Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region” to view your account details. Labels may vary slightly across system versions; use the wording shown on your device. First make sure this is the account you plan to use—or used—to purchase Shadowrocket, then check its country or region. Don’t rely only on the account name at the top of Settings to identify the account used for App Store purchases.

To change your region, use the “Country/Region” page described above. Before continuing, review the listed requirements for account balance, active subscriptions, payment methods, and Family Sharing settings, and follow the on-screen instructions. Region changes are subject to account restrictions; seeing the option doesn’t guarantee you can complete the change. If the page asks you to provide information or resolve an account issue, address that first. This is an App Store account issue, not a Shadowrocket configuration issue.

To confirm, the product page should appear in the storefront available to your current account, show the name Shadowrocket, match the developer and app ID listed below, and indicate compatibility with your device. If the store says the app isn’t available in your region, troubleshoot your account and storefront first. Global Routing, rules, and server settings in the app can’t change the App Store sales region.

Before you buy

Developer, icon, and app ID

Check all three details against one another. A similar name or icon alone is not enough to identify the app.

Check the full developer name first

Open the App Store product page and confirm the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don’t rely on the title or abbreviated name in search results, or buy just because the description mentions Shadowrocket. Similar or imitative apps may appear in search results, so open the product page and verify the developer before making a purchase.

Then check the official icon

The official icon is a blue-purple outlined rocket on a white background, matching the reference on this page. Use the icon as a visual aid, not as a substitute for checking the developer and app ID. If any detail in a search result—the icon, developer, or app name—doesn’t match, go back and verify it rather than paying because it “looks similar.”

Finally, check the app ID

The App Store link on this page corresponds to app ID 932747118 and ends in id932747118. Check these digits when sharing or viewing the product link. The app name helps identify it, while the app ID confirms the specific listing; verify both along with the developer. Once all three match, review the price, compatibility, and purchase confirmation details.

After installation, use the Home screen to locate Not Connected, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and the SERVER groups. On Add Server, look for fields such as Type, Host, and Port. These screens show where to continue in the instructions; they don’t indicate that a working connection is available. Use your own existing server or subscription details.

Device guide / iPhone

Buying and opening Shadowrocket on iPhone

Install the app from the App Store first, then set up in-app configuration and connection permissions.

Check compatibility before you buy

On the iPhone you plan to use, open the same product page and expand the compatibility details to check whether your device meets the requirements. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements; don’t rely only on the OS version mentioned in an older guide. If the listing says your device isn’t compatible, check its OS and the store’s message. A successful purchase and device compatibility are separate things to verify.

After confirming the price, complete the App Store purchase and account authentication. Once installed, open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen. If the icon is still waiting or the download is stalled, check storage, network connectivity, and App Store messages first. You haven’t reached the in-app connection troubleshooting stage yet.

App installation and VPN configuration permission are separate

When you first open the app, the SERVER list on Home needs a server or subscription you already have. In Add Server, choose the Type that matches your details, then check Host, Port, and authentication fields one by one. Don’t copy parameters from a screenshot: it shows where fields are, not usable service details.

The first time you try to connect, the system may ask to let Shadowrocket add a VPN configuration. This system permission is required to establish a network connection on the device; it’s separate from App Store purchase authentication. If you initiated the action, approve it as prompted, then return to Home to check the status. Buying the app doesn’t verify your server details, network, or rules.

For the steps after installation, see Shadowrocket: First-Time Setup Guide →. If a connection fails, note the exact error and determine whether it relates to permissions, configuration, or the status of a service you already use.

Device guide / iPad

Install on iPad with the same purchase account

Shadowrocket works on both iPhone and iPad; purchase history and in-app configuration are handled separately.

Find the app in your purchases

If you’ve already purchased Shadowrocket on iPhone, open the App Store on your iPad with the same Apple ID, go to your purchases, and download the app again. The same purchase can typically be used on compatible iPhone and iPad devices without paying for the app again. If the product page still shows a price, don’t confirm the purchase right away. First verify the account used for Media & Purchases and the original purchase record.

The iPad layout may vary with screen size, device orientation, and the current app interface. Use English labels such as Home, Config, and Settings to find your way around. Don’t treat the exact pixel positions in a screenshot as fixed steps; focus on section names and field meanings. Refer to the App Store listing for iPadOS system requirements.

Configuration is separate from purchase history

Installing the app on a second device confirms only that the app is available there; it doesn’t mean the servers, subscriptions, and rules from your first device have all transferred. After opening the app, check the SERVER list and files in Config. If anything is missing, import your existing subscription or server details and verify the active configuration. Check fields, rules, and connection results separately.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing also includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing on your target device; refer to it for system requirements and whether the purchase is universal. The App Store remains the only place to get the app. Don’t assume the iPhone or iPad steps fully explain how to use it on other devices.

Purchase history and device transfer

Switching devices, reinstalling, and restoring purchases

Use the original purchase account to redownload the app; use your existing subscription and server details to restore your connection setup.

Confirm the original purchase account first

On your new device, open the App Store, go to “Account → Purchased,” find Shadowrocket, and download it again. Depending on your system version, the entry may be under “Apps” or “My Apps”; use the labels shown on your device. If you use the original Apple ID and the app is still available, you usually won’t need to pay again. Deleting the app doesn’t make its purchase history and local configuration the same thing.

If you can’t find the purchase, first check whether the current App Store account is the one used to buy the app, then review your purchase history and hidden purchases. The account signed in at the top of Settings may differ from the one used for Media & Purchases, so don’t assume they match just because you’re signed in on the device. If the record still doesn’t appear, keep checking your App Store account and purchase history. Adding a server in the app won’t resolve which account owns the purchase.

Check configuration transfer after installation

Reinstalling doesn’t guarantee that all local configuration will be preserved. Before deleting the app or switching devices, make sure you can retrieve your existing subscription, server settings, and any configuration files you need to keep, and store those details safely. After installing on the new device, check the SERVER list on Home, enabled files in Config, and the current Global Routing selection, then import anything that’s missing.

Avoid changing several settings at once during recovery. First make sure an existing server profile saves correctly, then check the configuration mode, connection permission, and actual access results. If a subscription has expired or server authentication fails, check the status of the service you already use; buying the app again won’t fix those settings. Keep links and configuration containing authentication details secure, and hide sensitive fields when troubleshooting.

What you pay for

What a one-time purchase covers

The purchase covers the client app. Check the App Store price separately from any service you already use.

Check the price on the purchase confirmation screen

Shadowrocket is a one-time paid app, not a monthly subscription. The US price is $2.99; other storefronts display local currency. Check the App Store listing and final purchase confirmation for the actual price. The amount and currency may differ by region, so don’t assume the US dollar price shown here is what your account will be charged. Verify the app, account, and currency before paying.

If your device asks you to confirm a payment method or resolve a billing issue, follow the specific App Store instructions. Payment verification, regional availability, device compatibility, and in-app connectivity are separate steps; troubleshoot the one where the error occurs. If you haven’t confirmed the purchase record, don’t repeatedly attempt to pay to resolve a search or installation issue.

The purchase doesn’t include server details

The app uses the configuration you provide to connect and apply rules. After buying it, you still need your own subscription or server details. The purchase won’t change their validity period, authentication settings, or network status. If your service has separate fees or an expiry date, check your own service records; a one-time app purchase doesn’t mean a network service will remain active indefinitely.

App updates and configuration updates are separate

App updates are delivered through the App Store and can be managed in your device’s app update settings. Check the App Store update notes before updating; refer to the product page for price, compatibility, and update history. Subscription updates, replacing a Config file, and updating the app are different actions and can’t replace one another. After an app update, check that your existing configuration is enabled as expected before troubleshooting connections or rules.

Shadowrocket Help Center is the official Shadowrocket site and guide. This page explains how to get and verify the app and restore purchases. For importing settings, choosing a mode, and configuring rules after installation, see the tutorial and configuration reference, and follow the steps one by one.

Download FAQs

First identify whether the issue is with the store, account, device, or app, then follow the relevant steps.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. Check the country or region for the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases; your account region determines which storefront you see. Opening the US product link won’t change your account region.

The product page opens, but the app won’t download. What should I check?

Note the exact App Store message, then check your account region, device compatibility, payment status, available storage, and network connection. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements, and follow its prompts for purchase or billing issues.

Do I have to pay again after changing devices or reinstalling?

On the App Store, use the Apple ID you originally purchased with to find Shadowrocket in your account’s purchased items and download it again. You typically won’t need to pay again. If a price appears, verify the purchase account and history before proceeding.

If I bought Shadowrocket on iPhone, can I install it on iPad too?

Shadowrocket works on both iPhone and iPad. On a compatible iPad, sign in with the same Apple ID and redownload it from your App Store purchases. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and availability; you’ll need to verify and import your configuration separately.

Can I install Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing on your target device for system requirements and whether the purchase is universal. The App Store remains the only place to get the app.

The app interface is in English. How do I follow the instructions?

This page and the official guide retain the app’s English interface labels. Use Home to check connection status and the SERVER list, Add Server to enter details for an existing server, and Config to manage configuration files. Match these labels with the screenshots as you follow the steps.
